What do you get when you put 26 Realmsies in one restaurant besides over an 1k bill? A great way to send a friend to Iraq, and a great way to welcome another friend home.

When I say meat on a stick I am generalizing terribly. Servers walk around with meat on a rotisserie skewer, and a sharp carving knife. They bring it to you and cut it off right in front of you. Choices include Prime rib, Short rib, Chicken, Lingüiça, Lamb, Flank steak, Sirlion, and my personal two favorites Filet and Turkey wrapped in Bacon. Yum-tas-tic!

Among those in attendance this evening were Cain, Vawn w/ wife, Gideon, Sir K w/ Family, BH, LHoffman, Kyome, Dan K, RRoberts, Mike & Michelle, Shawn & Joanne, Werner, Leanne, some others I am forgetting their names, and of course Freesia and myself. And lets not forget the two men of the hour, Guillium and Kheldar! Special thanks to Talia for organizing the whole evening!

tmib’s spicy thai-ish soup

1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lbs. kielbasa (cut up into small pieces)
1 red bell pepper (sliced thinly and then in half)
1/2 bag of stir fry mix
1 tspn Red Curry paste
1/2 package of rice stick noodle
A goodly amount of broccoli (about a cup and a half cut up)
1 cup of water
Crushed red pepper (to taste)
Dried Basil (to taste)

throw everything except the rice noodles into a large skillet
and put on low heat.

Take a large pot and full it with hot tap water. Put the rice noodles into it while the meat and veggies cook. (You may want/need to add more water to the meat and veggies I like my soup with little broth.)

Once the meat and veggies are cooked drain the noodles and add it to the meat. Stir it in and viola!

Hey, I was bored tonight and grabbed what I had laying around the house and came up with this spicy yummy goodness.

fun cooking creations for October

Fresh (perishable ingrediants)
1 Granny Smith Apple
about 1 lbs. of Pork
1 Green pepper
1/3 to 1/2 a medium sized Red Onion

Spices (other):
Basil
Crushed red Pepper
Garlic
Honey
oriental Bean and fish sauce

Other:
Pasta (Linguine or Fettecine) or thick cut thai rice noodles

Prep:
slice pepper and onion into small long slices.
cut apple into bite size chunks
cut pork into strips

Cooking:
In a wok add onions, pepper, apple, garlic (to taste), basil (to taste, LOTS), crushed red pepper (to taste), and a little honey. Cover and Slow cook stirring occasionally on med-low heat.
