Back on July 25th I posted an article about an Android app called Locket (Beta) which puts ads on your devices lock screen and pays you for unlocking your device. Since installing the application my balance is $15. Today they released the new version of Locket version 1.1, and some big changes came down. For starters the 3 paid swipes per hour limitaion has been lifted, however [and this is a big one] you will now only get paid $0.01 each time you see a new add per day.
As promised last week, yesterday afternoon osTicket 1.7.1-RC1 was released. This is a release candidate for developer and enthusiasts to try out before 1.7.1ST is released. This release is not recommended for production enviornments! I've been informed that since this is a incremental update that the release cycle will be short as they continue to push towards the 1.8 release.
There are a slew of bug fixes as well as new features and expanding of current features:
Hey, check out Locket. It's an Android app that pays you for unlocking your phone. The way it's done is simple. By downloading the app, you basically rent out your lock screen to brands. At one swipe, you can either open the ad, or unlock your phone the way you always do.
Every time you unlock your phone (up to three times per hours) you get $0.01. Every friend that you have who signed up using your link gets you $1.00 right now.
This theme mod was written by community member and forum user fantasypc and was available for download on the osTicket forums. However the users site was hacked, and the download is no longer available. Since there has been some forum posted interest in the package. I've added it here for the community to be able to continue to download it. Sadly he did not include the screen shots in the archive so I couldn't add them here, and I do not use the mod so I cannot take my own.
