In Alpha Armor pieces were farmed in the Caverns of Chaos. Different levels had different slot and set rewards. All pieces have a rank I to V, for those who played Raid these compare to the 1* to 6*. They also came in the standard variety of Common to Legendary rarities. Here is a table of what each slot can have for Primary Stat.
