Svarog is a deity from Slavic mythology traditionally associated with fire, the celestial forge, creation, and craftsmanship. He is often described as a divine blacksmith who forged the sun and helped establish cosmic order, and in some traditions is considered the father of other gods such as Dazhbog and Svarozhits. Though references to him in medieval Slavic texts are scarce and debated by scholars, Svarog was revered as an embodiment of heavenly fire, the creative principle of the universe, and a patron of artisans and smiths. His legacy influenced later folk beliefs about fire, metallurgy, and the sacred role of creative work in human society.
