Pazuzu was a demon from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, known as the king of the wind demons. He was associated with destructive winds, famine, and disease, but he also had a protective role, especially against other evil spirits like Lamashtu. Pazuzu was often depicted with a humanoid body, animal features, wings, and a scorpion tail, and amulets bearing his image were used to ward off harm despite his fearsome reputation.
