Athena

Athena was one of ancient Greece’s most revered deities, goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, justice, and crafts. Born fully armed from the head of her father Zeus, she embodied both intellectual and martial excellence. As patron of the city of Athens—named in her honor—Athena was associated with the olive tree, the owl, and the Aegis shield. In myth she guided heroes like Odysseus and Perseus, offering counsel and divine protection. Her temples, especially the Parthenon on the Acropolis, were cultural and religious centers, reflecting her central role in Greek civic life and ideals of balanced strength and wisdom.

Athena is a playable god in SMITE 2 (2024).

BASIC Spear of Justice
Attack 1 enemy (220%DEF + 120%ATK). Place [DEF Up II] on all allies for 1 turn.

CORE Cooldown 4 Sanctuary of Wisdom
Place [Shield] 400%DEF on allies and reduces the damage inflicted to allies by 5% (stacking up to 3 times).
Awakening I: Place [RES Up II] on all allies for 2 Turns.

ULTIMATE 300 1600 Gorgon's Wrath
Attack all enemies (210%DEF + 110%ATK) with a 80% chance to place [Petrify] on each target for 1 turn. If this hero is under {Shield}, the {Petrify} cannot be resisted or blocked.
Awakening V: Any attack against a [Shield] now has a 100% chance to place [Petrify] on the enemy for 1 turn which cannot be resisted.

PASSIVE Medusa's Glare
Each time this hero is attacked under {Shield}, Heal for 50% of the damage inflicted to the Shield. If the Shield is depleted or removed, has a 50% chance to place [Petrify] on the enemy for 1 turn.
Awakening III: Any attack against a [Shield] now has a 100% chance to place [Petrify] on the enemy for 1 turn which cannot be resisted.
