TIAC Update : Nicole Stilling

Some of you may recall the quiet Nicole Stilling from the TIAC billing department. Chances are you do not. She is one of my former co-workers that I have managed to keep track of over the years. Earlier this month she and a friend opened PetPourri at 16 Washington St. in downtown Hudson at the rotary.

PetPourri is of course a play on words between pet and potpourri, and makes a great name for a pet supply store. They carry most premium dog foods, but also holistic, organic and vegetarian products and food for animals with sensitive stomachs and sensitive skin. One of the neatest features of this store is the homemade pet treats baked by the owner’s parents. Think of it like a supermarket bakery, but for your pet. Please check out Source2 below for a lot more details, and the full article posted on metrodailynews.com.

Nintendo Revolution renamed Wii

Its official the Nintendo next gen console is called the “Wii”. They have an offical announcement at nintendo.com. Here is the text from the page:

Introducing Wii.

As in “we.”
While the code-name “Revolution” expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer.
Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.
Wii will put people more in touch with their games … and each other. But you’re probably
asking: What does the name mean?
Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone.
Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak.
No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.
Wii has a distinctive “ii” spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the
image of people gathering to play.
And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games
that sets it apart from the crowd.

So that’s Wii. But now Nintendo needs you.

Because, it’s really not about you or me.

It’s about Wii.

And together, Wii will change everything.

This leaves me with one thought… and it isn’t we… Its Wii (pronounced why)?

Palladium vs the Rift

I have never really been a big fan of Palladium. They created (read stole) many different table top RPGs over the years. The most successful I believe was Rifts. Its set in the future in a very Cyber Punk™ or ShadowRun™ setting. Well it seems that the company is going out of business and they are trying to keep things afloat.

Cyber Punk is ™ R. Talsorian Games (last I checked), and ShadowRun is ™ Fasa (last time I checked)

Trip-ing the Gates ][ : tax day cometh

It’s 245am. I’m about to head to bed… The event is over. My feet are sore, and i’m damn tired. I think that over all the event went pretty smoothly. A few snags here and there. Like the plot needed elemental ritual pieces leaving site prior to the pcs actually casting the ritual was bad. And the fact that there are still missing puzzle pieces. Pretty sure that those left site also. The PCs suceeded in collecting the parts of the letter. Now if they just share it with each other tey might figure out what to do next. Too tired to think. Goodnight.
